How Our Landscape Design Process Works

I will come to you and we will walk through your site together to explore its potential. We’ll discuss your needs and aspirations for the project. During the visit I will take measurements, a photographic inventory, and develop a digital layout plan. I consider site conditions such as views, soil quality, drainage, and light requirements, as well as preferences in regards to maintenance levels.

Here is where I show you the possibilities of your space. Whether it is a plant selection design, a hardscape design, or a combination of both, I will create a finalized 3D rendering of your new space. You will own this design and can choose to proceed to the next step with us, or we can assist you in choosing one of our trusted contractors.

The installation stage will vary depending on your specific needs and design elements. For example, I will manage the installation of plantings, mulching, edging, rain gardens, and lighting. However, I will work with trusted contractors for more specialized features, such as fireplaces, pergolas, patios, ponds, walkways, and fences. Fortunately, I have an excellent resource in my dad, Dean Bjorkstrand, who has been in the landscaping industry since 1983.

Now that you have a new garden, or an already established one, you may simply want to enjoy it! Some people find satisfaction in weeding, pruning, and general maintenance, but that may not be your jam. Luckily, we enjoy that type of work! Our goal is to ensure your garden thrives and becomes established by providing knowledgeable weeding, pruning, and plant management.
